Locally known as the crossroads of America due to
the easy access to Interstate 80/94, the Indiana Toll Road and Lake
Michigan, Lake Station is a residential community with a population
of approximately 14,000 people. The city is focusing on its
positives and building the future. We are making the kinds of
infrastructure and revitalization investments that will help future
development. Water and sewer line upgrades are in the works
and many road projects are coming to fruition. New residential
housing located on Old Hobart Road has begun with Phase I which will
include lots 73 to 146. The development will provide housing
for residents and newcomers.
Message
from the
Mayor's Office
Dear Residents,
I appreciate all the patience and cooperation that has been seen
in our community with the garbage removal program, I understand
that this is something new to all and it will take time to
smooth out this process. As we progress in the City's
garbage removal program there are just a few things that need to
be clarified.
