The City of Lake Station, Indiana
Locally known as the crossroads of America due to
the easy access to Interstate 80/94, the Indiana Toll Road and Lake
Michigan, Lake Station is a residential community with a population
of approximately 14,000 people. The city is focusing on its
positives and building the future. We are making the kinds of
infrastructure and revitalization investments that will help future
development. Water and sewer line upgrades are in the works
and many road projects are coming to fruition. New residential
housing located on Old Hobart Road has begun with Phase I which will
include lots 73 to 146. The development will provide housing
for residents and newcomers. |

Message from the Mayor's Office |
|
April 11, 2013 Spring has arrived! We have many important events happening this month which includes Earth Day and Spring Cleanup. We will also begin the installation of new remote read water meters. Our utility crew will be out during the next few months installing new meters at all residences. SAVE YOUR UTILITY BILL!! This month's utility bill is your ticket to your yearly free pass to the City dumpster. In order to redeem your yearly pass, please bring your utility stub to the Public Works yard along with your identification card. Both the utility bill and ID must match. Construction season is also upon us. We ask that all residences protect themselves by calling the Building Department before you hire a contractor. The Building Department can confirm whether the contractor is licensed and bonded with the City. Sincerely, Mayor Keith Soderquist
Honorable Mayor, Keith Soderquist |
