The Lake Station Park Department is starting a new Youth Baseball League starting in 2013. The Park Department is partnering with the Cal Ripken/Babe Ruth organization for the upcoming season.
Registration will take place January 22-25, 2013 at 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. and January 26, 2013 at 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at the park office. Cost for players will be $50.00 for 1st child and $24.00 for each additional child per family. Fees will pay for equipment, umpires, uniforms and field maintenance.
Players will be able to keep hats, shirts and pants after the season is over. All games will be played at the new "Field of Dreams" complex on Marquette Road.

Lake Station's Riverview Park is 43.0 acres in size. Amenities include:swimming pool, five shelters, sand volleyball, fitness trail, picnic tables/area, nature area, boating access, two-ball diamonds, basketball court, cabin, horseshoes, playground, tennis courts, gazebo, fishing and archery targets.
Lake Station's Columbus Park is 7.0 acres in size. Amenities include: four ball diamonds, two picnic shelters, playground, basketball court and paved fitness/walking track..

Lake Station has additional facilities including: Joel Mock Park, Warrick Park, Miller Park, Johnson Park, Englehart Park, Independence Park, The Point and Fair View Walking Trail.
Deposits are refunded approximately one month after event.
